Add a delay before awarding points for sharing and following on social media

Users can add a delay of 20s by sharing and following social media such as facebook and twitter, adding points
Now users only need to click the button to add points, so users can still earn points without following and sharing.
If you add a delay, it will create an illusion for the user, which will increase the probability of following and sharing

I think this is a relevant problem. I'm sitting at about 7% conversion rate for likes and follows.
They click the "like" and "follow" buttons and when the popup window shows up, they immediately see their points change so they either think that they did what was asked or they think "wow, I got points without actually doing it."
I would even go so far as to say delay it for two minutes, because sometimes customers aren't even logged in and may need time to get in.

Verifying Social Media Follows Issue

In setting up the app, I did a test to see exactly what happened when a user clicked on the follow buttons in the launcher for the social media accounts.
It's my understanding that we're supposed to giving someone points for following or liking our social media pages.
But when I did the test I used a browser that didn't have my social media accounts automatically logged in.
The window popped up to my profiles on twitter, Facebook and instagram but I never actually logged in under my account to officially "like" or "follow".
But the app still rewarded the test account with the reward points.
Can someone please test this?
Thanks!
