Right now, only adding an email is possible. Adding a first name and last name field would allow the visitor to enter more information that can be stored in Shopify.

PLEASE do this! I have so many bots signing up to my mailing list, seeing the name not matching the email really helps weed them out. Also would love a honeypot on this - so a recaptcha type thing or the person needing to confirm from their email that they signed up before being added to my list.

yes please, it makes it makes the customer rather valuable, when we send an email we can address them by theur name, this way , how do you greet them, Hi there ?? hm .. doesnt sound nice to me.
